Students shooting for the stars
Youth driven
Innovation
We are an association that supports Austrian students to complete outstanding projects and secure a spot in future economies.
Our Motive
We have a vision where Austrian students who strive for excellency are helped and empowered, not hindered; to be able to compete at an internationally competitive level without spending 90% of their time on bureaucracy.
We will help Austria’s world-class technology talents excel globally.

No funding or opportunities
Status quo in Austria:
- No resources for high school students
- No legal possibility for them to get any over school
- Punishment with bureaucracy for wanting to do complex projects
Their next and only option is to go to companies and ask them to lend strong hardware for free.
Result:
In the current Austrian system students are being punished for wanting to do more than a website - to innovate
Austrian Brain drain
The result of such an environment is best said in the words of Harald Zumpf:
“Around a sixth of my best students leave Austria immediately after school and usually at least another follows in the year after that. Only around 60% stay”
- Coordinator of the HTL Spengergasse High Potential Program to which the Magic.dev founders belong
So we lose nearly 40% of our greatest minds to the rest of the world.
Our Solution
We bridge the gap between the industry, government and students, all of which are interested in the students succeeding.
We do this by:
We do this by:
Selecting the best talents
Providing resources without friction
Empowering learning through advanced projects
This simple trialed and tested formula equips students with what they need to found start-ups, become future managers or high-value employees.
And the students are able to explore their love of technology, be it Artificial Intelligence research, robotics or engineering, which would otherwise be impossible with highly limited school budgets. As a member of the Austrian Excellence Society the students will find the resources to pursuit their goals and go beyond.
